Korea and Vietnam before the Twentieth Century On-line Speaker Series

Fall 2022–Winter 2023 on ZOOM

Hosted by the Center for Korean Studies and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. It is also sponsored by the Academy of Korean Studies and the James P. Geiss and Margaret Y. Hsu foundation.

UCLA is fortunate to have a cluster of faculty members and graduate students conducting research on Korea and Vietnam across several programs and departments in diverse disciplines. We are also hoping to extend the comparative conversation beyond the wall of UCLA to a wider scholarly community.
The lectures will take place over Zoom. It will typically be attended by faculty members, graduate students, and some undergraduate students. The talk will be open to non-UCLA affiliates through a pre-registration system.

All presentations will be in English. Talks will be 45-50 minutes followed by 30 minutes of question and answer from the audience.
